Jute Upholstery Webbing 10lb
£0.78 – £9.24
Jute webbing is a natural fibre that can be spun into extremely strong bands. These bands are then stretched over the back and seats of furniture frames to sit other upholstery components on like upholstery springs. Jute was used in upholstery for many years and was really the only material used for upholstery webbing up until the 1950’s. Since then synthetic materials became popular as a replacement upholstery component. Jute webbing is used in the traditional method of upholstery. And when used, it is necessary to use coil springs for comfort and support. This makes the upholstery process when using jute webbing far more complex than when using rubber webbing.
